Some FAQs

Temperatures in flight will be about the same as on the ground, it's just a lot breezier.  Dress as if you were going for a motorcycle ride.  A jacket of some sort will feel good when the temperatures are much below 75 degrees.  Comfortable shorts, slacks or jeans are recommended.  Sneakers or rubber-soled shoes are also desirable. Skirts and dresses may make getting in and out of the plane challenging.  We'll provide a headset. Sunglasses are highly recommended and goggles are available.

Yes!  Picture and video taking is encouraged!  You will see many things you will want to share with those back on the ground or preserve the moment for yourself.  Wrist straps are a really good idea.  We offer a high-quality HD Video package that captures the view and your reactions.  Whether or not you choose to add the video package, you are always welcome to take your own video.

The plane can accommodate most passengers up to about 300 lbs. for normal rides as long as they are able to climb in and out with a little assistance.  Some body types may interfere with the plane's dual controls.  For safety reasons, the pilot always has the final word about passenger acceptance.  Ten years old is about the youngest age children really start appreciating the ride, but younger kids with exceptional maturity are good candidates.  Ground photo ops can be arranged for kids of any age.

Aerobatic rides are more demanding, so the minimum age is 14.  Passengers must be in good physical shape and weigh 240 lbs. or less for these rides.

Absolutely.  There is an intercom system that allows you to talk with the pilot.  He is very knowledgeable and will do all he can to make this a very enjoyable experience for you.

With some advance notice we should be able to unless a restriction exists.  Ask your pilot.

Unfortunately not.  This is a two-seat airplane--one pilot and one passenger.  The FAA only allows us to carry one passenger at a time, no matter what size or how much in love they are.

Yes, we do! Visit our associated flight school: Virginia Tailwheel Academy. We offer flight instruction and tailwheel endorsements based at Stafford Regional Airport (KRMN) and Warrenton-Fauquier Regional Airport (KHWY). We will also train you in your aircraft at your location.
